A team headed by Dr P.S.Siddhu, Senior Agricultural Specialist, The World Bank, was there in Varanasi/Mirzapur on 13th August 2010 for the inspection of National Agricultural Innovative Practices (NAIP) project sanctioned to Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (IAS-BHU). As the target area of NAIP, IAS-BHU is relatively same as the target area of Gramin Gyan Kendra, (GGK-BHU) and fortunately out of nine (9) centers established by GGK-BHU two are common to NAIP centers, one at  Bhartiya Lok Vikas Evam Shodh Sansthan, Bahuti, Mirzapur and the other at Surabhi Shodh Sansthan, Dagmagpur, Chunar, Mirzapur. Dr Siddhu visited both the centers and at Bahuti, a demonstration of the contents developed by Gramin Gyan Kendra was given by Sri Abhishek Singh, Project Manager, GGK-BHU. Dr Siddhu was informed about the nine centers established by GGK and he also inquired for the expenses incurred for establishing a center. He suggested collaborating with Uttar Pradesh Bhumi Sudhar Nigam situated at Lucknow (A U.P.Govt. Undertaking).
